I took this beautiful buck on November 20, 2013 right during the peak rut. A cold day with about four inches of fresh snow. It was a classic story of a hot doe being pursued at high speed by a buck with likey one thing on his mind.
Although the deer wasn't officially weighed, I would estimate it to have been approximately 180 lbs. Being the biggest buck I've ever harvested, I just had to have it officially scored. I was thrilled to find out it measured in at 151-5.
If I never harvest another buck this size again, I will have no regrets. I feel blessed
